Sandia Mountain Volleyball Classic

We are sad to announce that our friend, founder and director of the Sandia Mountain Volleyball Classic, Sonny Marquez, passed away this past weekend following his struggles with cancer.  We are all heavy hearted from this loss of such an appreciated member of the volleyball family.  As per the wishes of his wife Kelly, we will honor Sonny's memory by holding the 2010 SMVC as planned.  If you have not done so already, please register for the tournament soon so we may come together to celebrate the life and joy that Sonny brought to the volleyball community.

Thank you to everyone that joined us in making the 4th annual Sandia Mountain Volleyball Classic a memorable one in 2010! With near perfect weather and a phenomenal turnout, this year's event was one of the best yet. We know we have made Sonny Marquez proud. 2010 Event: 5/7-9

The 2010 Sandia Mountain Volleyball Classic presented by Angel Fire Resort, in its fourth year of production, returns as a premier event and one of the largest 2-on-2 volleyball events in the region.

NEW THIS YEAR: We've added Friday play which will feature a Co-ed division,  played on the sand.  We've expanded to accommodate more teams, as Men's and Women's A and B divisions will play on grass at Montgomery Park while Open divisions will continue to compete in the sand at nearby Sneakerz Sports Bar!
